Iris
Print Reproductions of Paintings
These images, sometimes called Giclées, are
very high quality reproductions of Dianne S.P. Cermak’s original
watercolor paintings. They are distinguishable from her original
work only in being somewhat smaller in size and are available with
or without archival quality matting and backing.
The
Editions
Each edition is limited to 75 reproductions, each one of which is numbered
and signed by the artist. Please inquire if you are interested in a
particular image that is not currently available: dspc@comcast.net
The
Reproduction Method
The reproductions are executed under the direction of the artist using
a very sophisticated Iris Giclée process in which highly stable
inks are sprayed at very high resolution onto museum quality paper providing
an exceptionally faithful copy of the original work.
The
Inks
The inks (Pinnacle Gold for Iris made by American Ink Jet) have been
tested by the Wilhelm Institute, the industry standard, to be colorfast
for 65-75 years at a minimum, triple the average Giclée durability.
The
Paper
The paper is 500 gsm Somerset Textured watercolor paper -- mold-made,
acid-free, pH balanced, and 65% heavier than the industry average --
providing not only the look and feel of the original work, but also
very great longevity.
